There is hereby created for the Town of Colchester a Conservation Commission
which shall consist of five regular members, all of whom shall be electors
of such Town. Municipal employees are eligible to serve on this commission
pursuant to CGS § 7-421(e).

The number of the Commission shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen
of the municipality; each member shall be appointed to serve for three years.
The Board of Selectmen may fill any vacancy and may remove any member for
cause.
The Commission shall have all the power set forth in C.G.S. § 7-13la,
and any other General Statutes applicable to the Conservation Commission.

The Commission shall select a Chair and a Vice-Chair from its members,
may adopt rules for the transaction of its business and shall keep a public
record of its activities. It shall submit a written report for the proceeding
fiscal year.
