The Selectmen shall cause a list of all unpaid
taxes to be presented from the rate books, for the purpose of correctly
ascertaining unpaid taxes.
A complete and proper record of all taxes abated
shall be made and also, in the future, a complete record of abatements
shall be kept, and the amount of taxes due as shown in the Treasurer's
reports each year shall be proven by a check with the Tax Collector's
records.
