The Breckenridge Library Board shall act as an advisory board to the public library.

The terms of all the members of the Library Board shall be for three years. When vacancies occur because of expiration of terms, new members of the Board shall be appointed by the Mayor and City Council for three-year terms.
Any member of the Board may be removed for cause by action of the City Council. In the event that a vacancy occurs for any reason during such three-year term of any member of the Board, such vacancy may be filled for the balance of the unexpired term by action of the Mayor and City Council.[1]

The Council of the City of Breckenridge may levy an annual tax of not more than the amount allowed by law on all taxable property in the City of Breckenridge, the proceeds of which will be paid into the Library Fund and used for the purpose of paying the costs of operating the library.
