A. 
The out-of-doors accumulation of junk/salvage and rubbish on property in all residential districts is prohibited.
B. 
The out-of-doors storage, keeping, or accumulation of an abandoned vehicle which is not a vehicle-in-use is prohibited.
A. 
In any nonresidential district and on any R2 premises or lot two acres or larger, the accumulation of junk shall be prohibited. Junk/salvage kept or maintained for recycling, resale and for purposes other than to operate a junkyard shall be stored in a rear yard, shall be stored at least 40 feet inside the applicable property line and shall be kept in an orderly condition. Animal manure stored as fertilizer shall be kept no less than 40 feet from any adjoining property and 150 feet from any occupied residence as measured from the outermost edge of the animal manure.
B. 
In any R2 (two acres or larger) and any nonresidential district, a maximum of two vehicles which are not vehicles-in-use shall be permitted to be stored out-of-doors per property subject to the following conditions:
(1) 
No vehicle shall be kept in the front yard of said property as front yard is defined by the applicable provisions of the Township Zoning Ordinance.[1]

(2) 
Vehicles shall be covered by a tarpaulin or like item or shall be shielded from view of the general public by a building, fencing or vegetation.
The dumping of junk/salvage and rubbish, as those terms are defined by Article II, § 142-5, of this chapter, is prohibited.
A. 
The following items shall be exempted from this chapter and shall not be defined as junk/salvage or rubbish:
(1) 
Single, privately owned vehicles undergoing or being stored for repair, provided that said vehicles shall be subject to the requirements of § 142-10B of this chapter and shall not remain on such property in excess of 30 days in any residential district or in excess of 90 days in all other districts. Further, such vehicles shall be kept in the rear yard or behind the principal dwelling.
(2) 
Farm equipment located on a farm which is actively used for farming.
(3) 
Construction equipment temporarily being used for work in progress at a particular site.
(4) 
Vehicles kept for scrapping (as defined by Article II), provided that no vehicle under this exception shall remain on such property in excess of 90 days.
(5) 
A single vehicle temporarily displayed for sale by a private owner. Any such vehicle shall be registered to the individual upon whose property the vehicle is being displayed.
(6) 
Vehicles kept for hobby purposes, including but not limited to antique or classic vehicles, vehicles being refurbished, and vehicles used for racing events.
(7) 
Firewood and compost, except that firewood and compost shall not be stored in the front yard of any property.
B. 
None of the exceptions listed in Subsection A(1) through (7) above shall be applicable in R1, R2 (less than 2 acres), R3, and RC Districts.
