A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, and signs shall be erected to so indicate, to operate any truck, truck trailer or tractor-trailer, having a registered gross weight, either solely or in combination, exceeding 6,000 pounds, except for local deliveries, upon any of the following streets, or portions thereof, in the Township:

B. 
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be prosecuted under Section 4902(a) and (g)(1) of the Vehicle Code[1] and, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $150 and costs of prosecution, provided that nothing herein shall prohibit the operation of any commercial vehicle or tractor upon any street or portion thereof listed hereinabove where such operation thereon shall be necessary in order to provide emergency service, pickup or delivery of any goods, wares, merchandise or material from or to any premises located upon any such street or portion thereof.
