[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of

A.
Enumerated. The elected officials of the Village shall
be the Village President and six Trustees.
B.
Terms of office. The term of office of each elected
official shall be two years. Three Trustees shall be elected at the
regular Village election in even-numbered years. All other elected
officials shall be elected in odd-numbered years at the regular Village
election. The regular term of the President and Trustees shall commence
on the third Tuesday of April succeeding their election.

Unless otherwise provided below, the Village
President shall appoint the following officials, subject to confirmation
by the Village Board, who shall serve the term indicated:

Elected and appointed officials shall take and
file the official oath within five days after notice of their election
or appointment as provided in § 61.21, Wis. Stats., and
shall execute and file the official bond as required by state statute
and this Code.
A.
Elected officials. Elected officials may be removed
by the Village Board as provided in § 17.13(2), Wis. Stats.,
or by the Judge of the Circuit Court for cause pursuant to § 17.13(3),
Wis. Stats., or as provided by § 17.16, Wis. Stats.

Appointed officials. Appointed officials may be removed
as provided in §§ 17.13(1) and (3) and 17.16, Wis.
Stats.

How occurring. Vacancies in elective and appointive
positions are caused as provided in §§ 17.03 and 17.035,
Wis. Stats.
B.
How filled.
(1)
Elected officials. A vacancy in any elective office
shall be filled by appointment by a majority of the members of the
Village Board. A Trustee may be appointed to fill an unexpired term
of a vacating Village President.
(2)
Appointed officials. A vacancy in appointive office
shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment to
such office.
The salaries of all elected and appointed officials,
including members of boards and commissions, shall be as determined
by the Village Board from time to time, provided the salary of the
President and members of the Board shall not be increased or decreased
during their terms of offices. (See § 66.0505, Wis. Stats.)
A.
General duties. The Health Officer under the supervision
of the District State Health Officer shall:
(1)
Make an annual sanitary survey and maintain continuous
sanitary supervision over his territory.
(2)
Make a periodic sanitary inspection at least every
four months of all school buildings, restaurants, dairies, grocery
stores, meat markets and places of public assemblage and report thereon
to those responsible for the maintenance thereof.
(3)
Promote the spread of information as to the causes,
nature and prevention of prevalent diseases and the preservation and
improvement of health.
(4)
Enforce the health laws, rules and regulations of
the state and Village, including the laws relating to contagious diseases
contained in Ch. 252, Wis. Stats.
(5)
Take steps necessary to secure prompt and full reports
by physicians of communicable diseases and prompt and full registration
of births and deaths.
(6)
Keep and deliver to his successor a record of all
his official acts.
(7)
Make an annual report to the state and to the Village
Board and such other reports as they may request.
B.
Right of Health Officer to enter premises. The Health
Officer shall have the right to enter and examine any public premises
or any place where meat, fish, poultry, game, milk, bakery goods or
other foodstuffs are stored, prepared or dispensed for public consumption
and to inspect or examine any vehicle transporting such foodstuffs
for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this chapter.
