Town of New Canaan, CT Chapter 50 Sale or Lease of Town-Owned Real Property

§ 50-1 Approval required.

No sale or lease of real property owned by the Town shall be valid unless approved by the Town Council.

§ 50-2 Exceptions.

Section 50-1 shall not apply to:

A. Sales of real property, except parkland, open space or playgrounds, if the fair market value of such property does not exceed $10,000;

B. Renewals of leases where there is no change in use of the real property; and

C. The sale, lease or transfer of real property acquired by the municipality by foreclosure.
