[Adopted as Secs. 2-12 through 2-15 of the
1963 Code]
As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Includes anyone who is employed by the Town for the total
amount of time worked by the particular division or department of
the Town government in which such person is employed.
The Town hereby adopts social security coverage
for all of its full-time employees who are not now included under
"An Act Concerning Pensions for Employees of the Town of Stratford,"
approved June 30, 1953, or under any state pension plan.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on
behalf of the Town, any agreements necessary to effect the purposes
of this article and shall designate the official who shall be responsible
for making payroll deductions and the payments and for the filing
of necessary reports required under social security regulations.

consistent with the provisions of the Charter adopted by the Town
on 11-4-2003.
For the purposes of this article, July 1, 1959, is hereby designated as the date of social security coverage provided for under this article, and the Mayor or the official designated by him, as provided by § 25-5, is hereby authorized to make all payments which shall be determined to be due on or before July 1, 1959, and quarterly thereafter on each succeeding July 1, October 1, January 1 and April 1 thereafter.
