Editor's Note: This chapter was derived from Sections 3.07, 3.08 and 3.09 of the Town of Yarmouth Bylaws. Section 3.07 was adopted by Town Meeting on 2-8-1944 and amended 4-9-1974. Section 3.05 was adopted by Town Meeting in 1915. Section 3.09 was adopted by Town Meeting in 1915 and revised 4-9-1974.
All elected officials and department heads responsible for the expending of money will have their estimates for the ensuing year in the hands of the Selectmen for Finance Committee use not later than December 15 of each year. The Finance Committee will have a printed report of its recommendations ready to be distributed with the Town report, not later than seven days prior to the Annual Town Meeting.
The cost of all surety bonds required of any Town official shall be paid by the Town.
The fiscal year of the Town shall begin on the first day of July in each year and end on the 30th day of June following.
