Editor's Note: This chapter is derived from
Section 20.02 of the Town of Yarmouth Bylaws and was originally adopted
4-10-1980 as Art. 24, approved 8-11-1980.
Any bylaw of the Town of Yarmouth or rule or regulation of its boards, commissions and committees, the violation of which is subject to a specific penalty, may, in the discretion of the Town official who is the appropriate enforcing person, be enforced by the method provided in Section 21D of Chapter 40 of the General Laws.
As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Any Selectman or any police officer of the Town of Yarmouth,
with respect to any offense, and the Building Inspector and his designees,
the Director of Natural Resources and his designees, the Conservation
Agent and his designees, the Harbor Master and his designees, the
Health Agent and his designees, the Licensing Agent and Sealer of
Weights and Measures and his designees, the Fire Chief, the Deputy
Fire Chief, the Fire Prevention Officer and such other officials as
the Board of Selectmen may from time to time designate, each with
respect to violation of bylaws and rules and regulations within their
respective jurisdictions. If more than one official has jurisdiction
in a given case, any such official may be an enforcing person with
respect thereto.
