Editor's Note: This chapter was derived from Section 4.91 of the Town of Yarmouth Bylaws and was originally adopted 3-11-1969.
The tenure of office of any permanent member, now or in the future, of the Police Department of the Town of Yarmouth, except the Chief and Deputy Chief, who has or shall have served in the respective office for a period of three consecutive years shall be unlimited.
Members of the Police Department shall hold office during good behavior until age 65 unless incapacitated by physical or mental disability from performing their duties or unless removed for just cause and for reasons specifically given in writing by the Board of Selectmen in the manner provided by Chapter 31, Section 43, of the Annotated Laws of Massachusetts.
