Installation of electrical equipment shall comply with the most recent Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Electricians' Examining Board Rules, Chapter 120, Electrical Installation Standards.
The Electrical Code Ordinance of the Town of Topsham entitled the "National Electrical Code, 2008 Edition," and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Electrical permits are required for the installation of wires and fixtures for new construction, additions to existing structures and repairs to structures that alter the existing wiring.
Exception: low energy such as but not limited to fire alarms, building control systems, etc.
A. 
All fees shall be as established by the Topsham Board of Selectmen, per Chapter 109.
B. 
All permit fee computations shall be rounded off to the nearest dollar amount.
Exception: Municipal property, including schools, is exempt from permit fees.
