As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
The showing of the human male or female genitals or pubic
area with less than a fully opaque covering. A person shall be found
in a state of "nudity" when his or her clothing or absence of clothing
exposes to public view that person's anus, genitals, pubic area or
female breasts.
Any place where a member or members of the general public
can be reasonably expected to observe a person or persons in a state
of nudity. "Public place," in the context of this chapter, shall not
include any public lavatory or any lavatory, locker room, sauna or
whirlpool at a public or private educational or recreational facility.
It shall be unlawful for any person to appear
or travel on any street, avenue, highway, road, sidewalk, beach, beachfront
waterway or any other public place located in the Township of Medford
in a state of nudity.
Every member of the Police Department of the
Township of Medford is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
vigorously enforce the provisions of this chapter. Citizens' complaints
may be filed with the Police Department pursuant to the standard procedure
of that Department.

Any person convicted of violating the provisions
of this chapter shall be fined an amount not less than $250 and not
to exceed $1,000, or imprisoned for a term not exceeding 90 days,
or both, at the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.
