All Town-owned and/or -operated parks or recreation areas shall be closed to the general public daily from the hours of 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., except for groups that have received permits for overnight camping, provided that Greentree Park shall be closed to the general public daily from 15 minutes after sunset to 6:00 a.m.

All Town-owned and/or -operated parks or recreation areas shall be closed to all vehicles not properly licensed for travel on the highways, except for self-propelled vehicles, and those vehicles so properly licensed and self-propelled shall use only the ingress and egress roads and the parking areas, unless a specific path, road or way has been made for or designated for such use. This restriction shall not apply to handicapped or mobile assisted devices, including, but not limited to, chairs and carts.

All Town-owned and/or operated parks and recreation areas shall be closed to hunting and trapping.

No person shall possess, carry or transport any firearms in Town-owned and/or -operated parks and recreation areas except a duly appointed law enforcement officer.

No person shall possess, carry, consume or transport any alcoholic beverage in any open container in Town-owned and/or -operated parks and recreation areas as defined in Chapter 35 of this Code.

No person shall disturb any archaeological survey or excavation, or disturb or remove any living plant or any mineral, animal or prehistoric or historical period artifacts, except fish, located in any Town-owned and/or -operated park or recreation area.

The Town Board of the Town of Hyde Park, on its own motion or upon the recommendation of the Town of Hyde Park Recreation Commission, may, by resolution, modify the provisions of this chapter for special events; however, if said event is sponsored by persons or organizations other than the Town, an application must be made, in writing, to the Town Recreation Department, and approval must be obtained from the Recreation Commission, before applying to the Town Board for the event; provided, however, there shall be no modification of § 82-5 herein.

Any person using said areas in violation of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of not more than $250 and/or 15 days in jail, or both.
The Town Highway Superintendent shall post appropriate signs advising the general public of the restrictions contained in this chapter.
The enforcement of said chapter shall be administered by the Town Police or by other police agencies, such as county, state or where specific agreements have been made to enforce the laws of the Town of Hyde Park, and the same are hereby authorized to issue the appropriate tickets or criminal process, if necessary.
