This chapter shall be known and cited as "Town of Mamaroneck Local Law No. 1 of 1984, Fire Limits."
It is the intention of the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck, by this chapter, to institute fire limits within the Town providing for limitations on construction materials to be used within certain districts as provided for in the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.[1]

All construction within the Unincorporated Town of Mamaroneck in areas designated as Zoning Districts B (Business), LI (Light Industry), UR (Urban Renewal), SB (Service Business), B-MUB (Business - Mixed Use Business), OB-1 (Office Building), OB-2 (Office Building), R-A (Attached Residence) and R-TA (Tower Apartment) shall be in accordance with Fire Limits A as defined in the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, and no construction can take place in Zoning Districts B (Business), LI (Light Industry), UR (Urban Renewal), SB (Service Business), B-MUB (Business - Mixed Use Business), OB-1 (Office Building), OB-2 (Office Building), R-A (Attached Residence) and R-TA (Tower Apartment) unless and until a building permit has been issued by the Building Inspector or the Director of Building Code Enforcement and Land Use Administration or either's designated representative and he/she has found that the proposed construction will be in full compliance with Fire Limits A, as provided by the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
