All persons who shall hereinafter be employed by the Township
of Shaler shall be required to maintain their bona fide residences
in the Township of Shaler during the continuance of their employment
by the Township of Shaler.
The requirements for Township employees as set forth in this
chapter are in addition to any and all requirements as set forth by
any Act of Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Board of Commissioners may, by resolution, waive the requirements of § 44-1 of this chapter with respect to any applicant for Township employment named in the resolution who possesses experience or training needed to perform the position applied for; provided, however, that no such resolution shall be adopted unless the Board shall first have found that no Township resident with the necessary experience or training has responded to an advertisement of the position, published at least twice between 60 days and 30 days prior to the adoption of the resolution in a newspaper of general circulation in the Township.
