The Township of Shaler agrees, pursuant to the provisions of the aforementioned agreement,[1] to pay the aggregate amount of all sewage service charges imposed by the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority pursuant to said agreement which otherwise would be payable by sewer users within the Township of Shaler for the transportation and treatment service rendered, in consideration of the performance by the Allegheny County Sanitary Sewer Authority of the legal duty of the Township of Shaler to cease the pollution of waters of the commonwealth. The Township of Shaler hereby covenants that it will pay each quarterly statement of the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority out of current revenues of the Township of Shaler and within 60 days after the date of billing therefor for the transportation and treatment services rendered.

The Township of Shaler shall bill all customers of the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority for the amounts which would be payable otherwise by sewer users within the Township of Shaler for the transportation and treatment service rendered by the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority.
The aforementioned change in the method of billing and obligations of the Township of Shaler in connection therewith shall become effective as soon as possible after all of the following conditions have been met:
A. 
Approval of the change in method of billing by the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority.
B. 
Payment to the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority of any and all delinquent sanitary sewer service bills rendered to the Township of Shaler on or prior to the effective date of the change of the billing.
C. 
Reasonable prior written notice of such change in the billing method to the Authority's customers in the Township of Shaler.[1]
