Township of Cedar Grove, NJ Article I General Organization

§ 3-1 Offices, departments, boards and bodies.

The Township government under Council-Manager Plan B of the Optional Municipal Charter Law, P.L. 1950, c. 210, as amended (N.J.S.A. 40:69A-1 et seq.), shall, in addition to the Municipal Council, consist of the following offices, departments, boards and bodies:

A. Offices.

(1) Office of Township Manager, as provided for in Article II of this chapter.

(2) Office of Township Clerk, as provided for in Article III of this chapter.

(3) Office of Township Attorney, as provided for in Article IV of this chapter.

(4) Office of Township Prosecutor, as provided for in Article V of this chapter.

(5) Office of Municipal Disaster Control Director, as provided for in Article VII of this chapter.

(6) Office of Municipal Judge, as provided for in Chapter 14, Court.

B. Departments.

(1) Department of Assessments, as provided for in Article VIII of this chapter.

(2) Department of Building Safety,[1] as provided for in Article IX of this chapter.

(4) Department of Health, as provided for in Article XI of this chapter.

(5) Department of Public Works, as provided for in Article XII of this chapter.

(8) Department of Police, as provided for in Chapter 55, Police Department.

(9) Department of Fire, as provided for in Chapter 23, Fire Department.

C. Boards and bodies.

(1) Planning Board, as provided for in Chapter 38, Land Use Procedures.

(2) Zoning Board of Adjustment, as provided for in Chapter 38, Land Use Procedures.

(3) Board of Assessments for Local Improvements, as provided for in Chapter 6, Assessments, Board of.

(4) Local Assistance Board, as provided for in Chapter 42, Local Assistance Board.

(5) Public Library Board, as provided for in Chapter 40, Library Board, Public.

(6) Advisory Health Council, as provided for in Chapter 31, Health Council, Advisory.

(7) Advisory Board of Recreation, as provided for in Chapter 59, Recreation Board, Advisory.

(8) Advisory Shade Tree Committee, as provided for in Chapter 67, Shade Tree Committee.
