The Chief of Police shall be charged with the duty of enforcing the provisions of this chapter.
Any person who shall make false statements in any application for a license or permit under this chapter or in any record that he is required to maintain under this chapter shall be guilty of violating this chapter.

A. 
Any person who violates or permits, aids or abets the violation of any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $2,000 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.

B. 
In addition to the penalty provided in Subsection A of this section, any taxicab license or taxicab driver's permit may be suspended or revoked, as provided in §§ 242-12 and 242-20.
