Editor's Note: Former Art. II, Deputy Borough
Clerk, adopted 1-13-1986 by Ord. No. 1034, as amended, was repealed
4-15-2008 by Ord. No. 1505.
There is hereby established, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:60-6(b)(3)(5),
the office of Deputy Borough Clerk.
The Deputy Borough Clerk shall serve for a term of one year.
The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be appointed to such position
by resolution of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Palisades
Park.
The annual salary of the Deputy Borough Clerk shall be as established
and fixed by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Palisades Park.
The Deputy Borough Clerk shall, during the absence or disability
of the Borough Clerk, have all the powers of the Borough Clerk and
shall perform the functions and duties of such office. When the Borough
Clerk is not absent or disabled, the Deputy Borough Clerk shall assist
the Borough Clerk with the functions and duties of such office and
such other functions and duties as delegated by the Borough Administrator.
The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be a resident of the Borough
of Palisades Park.
