There is hereby created for the Borough of Palisades
Park the positions of Emergency Dispatchers.
The Mayor and Council is authorized to hire
such number of Emergency Dispatchers as it shall from time to time
deem necessary.
Said Emergency Dispatchers shall be under the
direct supervision of the Chief of Police or his designee.
Emergency Dispatchers shall perform such duties
as determined by the Chief of Police or his designee, including but
not limited to answering incoming phone calls to the Police, Fire,
Ambulance and Rescue Department for fire, emergency and/or police
activities, dispatching by radio in accordance with all applicable
rules and regulations and such other duties which may be deemed necessary
for the efficient operation of the desk and dispatching services under
the Chief's direction and control.
