A.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 26:3-19 and other applicable
law there is hereby created the position of Health Officer, which position
shall be full time in accordance with the mandates of state law.
B.
The salary of the Health Officer shall be the salary
set forth in the salary guide adopted each year by the Board of Health, and
the duties of the Health Officer shall be those duties provided by the statutes
of the State of New Jersey, the administrative regulations adopted by the
New Jersey State Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Environmental
Protection and other agencies and such other duties as may be assigned by
the Board of Health by written resolution adopted by it or as set forth by
the President of the Board of Health with the approval of the Board of Health.
C.
No Health Officer shall be appointed by the Board of
Health unless he/she has been fully qualified in accordance with state law
and is the holder of a proper license.
D.
The term of office of the Health Officer shall be for
three years, and such appointment shall not be terminated except for cause
in accordance with applicable state law and upon proper notice to the Health
Officer by the Board of Health.
A.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 26:3-19 and other applicable
law there is hereby created the position of Public Health Nurse. The Public
Health Nurse shall have such duties as shall be set forth in written resolutions
adopted by the Board of Health or such other duties as may be prescribed by
the President of the Board of Health and which shall be approved by the Board.
B.
The salary of the Public Health Nurse shall be as prescribed
by the Salary Ordinance adopted each year by the Board of Health of the Borough
of Palisades Park.
C.
The term of office of the Public Health Nurse shall be
for three years, and such appointment shall not be terminated except for cause
in accordance with applicable law and upon proper notice to the Public Health
Nurse.
The Board of Health may employ such other personnel as it deems necessary
as may be provided by state law in N.J.S.A 26:3-19 and N.J.S.A 26:3-21 and
such other personnel as may be necessary in order to assist it in carrying
out its powers. The salaries of these respective personnel shall be as set
forth in the Salary Ordinance of the Board of Health of the Borough of Palisades
Park or in a written resolution adopted by the Board of Health at a duly convened
meeting.
