The purpose of this chapter is to authorize public servants of the Town of Chili to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations of the Town which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.

The following public servants of the Town of Chili are hereby authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket with respect to violation of a state statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Town of Chili that such public servants are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A. 
The Director of Planning, head of the Building Department, or similar officer or designee, and Code Enforcement Officers are authorized to issue appearance tickets with respect to the Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, Zoning and Planning Ordinances, licensing of occupations or businesses, parking violations and all interrelated ordinances, laws, statutes, rules and regulations relating to the same.
B. 
The Dog Control Officer and Assistant Dog Control Officer are authorized to issue appearance tickets with respect to Article I, Dog Control, of Chapter 176, Animals, of the Code of the Town of Chili and interrelated enforcement matters.
An appearance ticket other than for a parking violation shall be served personally.
