There shall be and there is hereby established
a procedure for the designation of the official newspaper of the Incorporated
Village of Port Jefferson.
The Board of Trustees, at its annual organizational
meeting, shall designate, by resolution, a newspaper having general
circulation in the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson to be the
official newspaper of the Village for the succeeding year.
This chapter shall supersede all applicable
provisions of the Village Law of the State of New York and particularly
§ 4-412 thereof to the extent that they conflict with or
are contrary to the provisions of this chapter.
