As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
- PERSONAL PROPERTY
- Includes any property, other than real estate, which is acquired in the course of living in or maintaining a dwelling unit.
- RUMMAGE\GARAGE SALE
- Any sale of personal property conducted on any residentially zoned property, as defined by Chapter 420, Zoning Ordinance, within the Village, irrespective of what the sale is designated as by the seller.
A.
It shall be unlawful for any person or party to sell
other than personal property at a rummage/garage sale.
B.
It shall be unlawful for any person or party to hold
or permit to be held a rummage/garage sale on more than six calendar days,
whether or not consecutive, within any calendar year.
C.
It shall be unlawful for any person or party to hold
or permit to be held a rummage/garage sale during the hours of 9:00 p.m. to
8:00 a.m. on any day.
