A. 
In this section "motorized scooter" means any two-wheeled device that has handle bars, is designed to be stood on by the operator, and is powered by an electric or gas motor. Motorized scooter includes a go-ped or other electric or gas powered versions of the stand-up platform scooter. Motorized scooter does not include a moped, motor scooter, motorcycle or off-the-road motorcycle as those terms are defined by the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
B. 
A person shall not operate a motorized scooter on any County road or County sidewalk.
C. 
A law enforcement officer may issue a civil citation to a person violating the provisions of this section. A person who violates this section is subject to a fine not to exceed $500. Each violation shall constitute a separate offense.
