Regulation of gambling in the Township of Ewing
shall be in accordance with the state law requirements as set forth
in N.J.S.A. 2A:40-1 et seq.
A.Â
This chapter shall not be construed to apply to the
conducting of games of chance commonly known as "bingo" or "lotto"
under a license duly issued under the provisions of the Bingo Licensing
Law (N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 et seq.) and to the conducting of games of chance
commonly known as a "raffle" or "raffles" under a license duly issued
under the provisions of the Raffles Licensing Law (N.J.S.A. 5:8-50
et seq.).
B.Â
It shall not be unlawful to conduct, hold and operate
legalized games of chance and/or bingo under this chapter on the first
day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday," when provided in accordance
with the requirements set forth in N.J.S.A. 5:8-31 and N.J.S.A. 5:8-58.
