Whenever required by any law to publish in an official newspaper
or post a copy of the text of any local law, resolution, order, rule
or regulation of the Village of Alexandria Bay, the Village of Alexandria
Bay shall be authorized to publish or post an abstract or summary
thereof, describing the same in general terms, which shall note that
a complete text of the law, resolution, order, rule or regulation
is on file at the Village Clerk's office.
The Village Clerk shall, to the extent practical, make available
for inspection at the Village Offices a copy of any such local law,
resolution, order, rule or regulation and any proposed local law,
resolution, order, rule or regulation required by law to be available
to the public.
This chapter shall amend and supersede the requirements of Village
Law § 7-706 to publish in the official newspapers a copy
of all local laws regulating zoning and amendments thereto and shall
take effect on its filing as required by law.
