For the purpose of promoting health, safety, morals and the general welfare of the community, the Village of Alexandria Bay is hereby zoned into the following zoning districts:
Single-Family Residential — SFR
Neighborhood Residential — NR
General Residential — GR
Business — B
Marine Development District — MDD
Marine Residential — MR

A. 
The boundaries of the above-named zoning districts are bounded as shown on a map entitled "Zoning Map, Village of Alexandria Bay Zoning Map 1991, as last revised November 12, 1996," as prepared by the Jefferson County Planning Department, a copy of which is on file in the Village offices.

B. 
Any changes in district boundaries or other matter shown on the Zoning Map shall be promptly made on the map, with a signed statement describing the nature of the change.
Where uncertainty exists with respect to the exact boundaries of districts as shown on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply:
A. 
Boundaries shown as approximately following the center line of streets or highways shall be construed to follow such center lines.
B. 
Boundaries shown as approximately following platted lot lines shall be construed to follow such lot lines.
C. 
Boundaries shown as following shore lines of streams, lakes and reservoirs shall be construed to follow such shorelines and to move with changes in the actual shorelines.
D. 
Boundaries indicated as parallel to or extensions of features indicated in Subsections A through C shall be construed to be parallel to or extensions of such features.
E. 
Distances not specifically set forth on the Zoning Map shall be determined by the scale of the map.
Where a district boundary line divides a lot in single or joint ownership existing at the time of enactment of this chapter, the use authorized on and the district requirements of the least restricted portion of such lot shall be construed as extending to the entire lot.
