A.Â
Salary ranges are established by ordinance, and the salary
must fall within the minimum and maximum ranges for the employee's title.
Employees are paid every two weeks.
B.Â
All salaries and benefits of those employees of the East
Rutherford Police Department that are members of PBA Local 275 shall be governed
by the contractual agreement between the Borough of East Rutherford and PBA
Local 275.
C.Â
The Borough of East Rutherford will not accept responsibility
for any employee's personal finances. The Borough will acknowledge judgments
against an employee's pay but will not act as a mediator between the
employee and creditors.
The overtime policy of the Borough of East Rutherford is that no department
heads or supervisors shall receive overtime in that they are salaried employees.
All other municipal employees shall receive overtime after working any additional
hours beyond their normal workweek. The overtime rate is in the amount of
one and one-half times the employee's hourly rate, except holidays, which
is two times the hourly rate.
