The following rules are established for persons using the Maplewood skate park and are to be posted in conspicuous locations at the skate park:
A. 
The skate park is an unsupervised facility. Please skate responsibly exercising common sense and courtesy to other users. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult. Spectators must stay clear of skaters and equipment.
B. 
All skate park users must wear helmets and protective equipment. Gear and clothing not in use must be stored outside of the skate park. Shirts must be worn at all times. Horseplay, fighting and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
C. 
The skate park is for skateboards and in-line skates only. BMX bikes, bicycles, scooters and motorized vehicles are not permitted at any time. Skateboarding and/or in-line skating is not permitted in the parking lots adjacent to the skate park.
D. 
The use of drugs, alcohol, profanity, abusive language/behavior and/or vandalism is strictly prohibited. All applicable rules and regulations governing parks, cited in the Township's ordinances, will apply.
E. 
Boomboxes are not permitted at this facility. Headphones must be used with all radios and CD players, etc.
F. 
No food, drink, chewing gum, plastic and/or glass containers or tobacco products may be brought onto the skate park.
G. 
No pets are allowed at the skate park.
H. 
The skate park closes at sundown.
I. 
The skate park is closed when the skating surface is wet, snow-covered or icy. The Director of the Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs or his/her designee will determine unsafe conditions and may close the park as circumstances warrant.
J. 
The Township of Maplewood is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
K.

L. 
Skateboarding and in-line skating are inherently risky activities. All skate park users assume these risks by participating in these activities.
