No plenary retail licensee shall sell, serve or deliver or allow, permit or suffer the sale, service or delivery of any alcoholic beverage, directly or indirectly, upon the licensed premises between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on weekdays, except that such beverages may be sold on the morning of January 1 between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. No such beverages shall be sold by a consumption licensee at any time on the first day of the week, commonly called "Sunday," except between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight and between 12:00 midnight Saturday and 2:00 a.m. Sunday; except that when the morning of January 1 falls on a Sunday, such beverages may be sold between 12:00 midnight Saturday and 5:00 a.m. Sunday. No such beverages shall be sold by a distribution licensee at any time on the first day of the week, commonly called "Sunday," except between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. These hours shall be construed to indicate standard time or daylight saving time during such period as each is in effect in the township, and, except as otherwise provided by statute, alcoholic beverages may be sold during the hours not prohibited by these sections.
