The Legislature of the State of New Jersey has enacted the Local Government
Ethics Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:9-22.1 et seq., which is applicable to all municipalities
within this state, including the Township of Rochelle Park. The Township of
Rochelle Park is not desirous of establishing a Local Ethics Board, and therefore,
the Local Finance Board in the Division of Local Government Services in the
Department of Community Affairs has jurisdiction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-22.5,
to govern and guide the conduct of the Township of Rochelle Park officers
or employees regarding violations of the provisions of the Local Government
Ethics Law.
