§ 27-1 Establishment of Department.

A Department of Public Works is hereby created in the Town of Wilson.

§ 27-2 Appointment of Department head.

The Superintendent of Highways shall be appointed as administrative head of the Department of Public Works, and an additional salary for such position may be fixed by the Town Board by resolution.

§ 27-3 Limitation of authority of Town Board.

Appointment of an elected Superintendent of Highways for the Town of Wilson to the position of Commissioner of Public Works shall not subject the statutory powers and duties of the Superintendent of Highways to Town Board supervision, and the Superintendent of Highways shall retain those statutory powers and duties previously exercised by that office.
