It is the desire of the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Brighton, in the County of Beaver, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and said Board hereby signifies its intention to organize an Authority under the Municipality Authorities Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.[1]

In pursuance of said desire and intention and in conformity with the terms and provisions of said Municipality Authorities Act and its amendments, the proposed Articles of Incorporation are hereby set forth in full, as follows:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF THE
BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY
To the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pa.
In compliance with the requirement of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved the second day of May, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and pursuant to Ordinance adopted by the municipal authorities of the Township of Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, that a Municipal Authority be established under the provisions of the aforementioned law, the Township of Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, desiring that a Municipal Authority be established and that a Certificate of Incorporation be issued to said Authority, does hereby certify:
(a)
The name of the Authority shall be: Brighton Township Municipal Authority, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
(b)
The Authority is formed under the Act of May 2nd, 1945, P.L. 332, as amended.
(c)
No other Authority has been organized under the provisions of this Act, or the Act approved the 28th day of June, 1935, P.L. 463, and is in existence within said Township.
(d)
The name of the incorporating municipality is Township of Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, a Township of the Second Class.

KAYE whose official positions in the incorporating municipality are respectively Chairman and Secretary and who in due form of law acknowledged the foregoing to be the act and deed of the incorporating municipality for the purposes therein specified.

The proposed Articles of Incorporation of said Authority shall be executed by and on behalf of the Township of Brighton, by the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of said township, and the seal of said township shall be thereto affixed, attested by the Secretary of the Board of Supervisors of said township. The Solicitor is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be published the notice of intention and to file the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of the Commonwealth as required by the aforementioned Act.
A. 
The project to be undertaken is the acquisition of a school building and the improvement thereof by the construction of additions thereto and the acquisition of land for said purposes.
B. 
In addition to the powers heretofore granted to the Brighton Township Municipal Authority, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, by ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of the township, dated March 1, 1948, said Authority is hereby empowered to also undertake projects involving the constructing, equipping and furnishing of school buildings within the School District of the Township of Brighton and the acquisition of necessary lands thereof.

C. 
The Brighton Township Municipal Authority, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, is further authorized to exercise all powers granted under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended,[1] with regard to said school buildings so constructed, acquired and improved.

It is the desire and intention of the municipal authorities of the Township of Brighton to organize an Authority under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented,[1] for the purpose of exercising any and all of the powers conferred by said Act on authorities with respect to projects for sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof and sewage treatment works, including works for treating and disposing of industrial wastes.

The proposed Articles of Incorporation of the proposed Authority are as follows:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF
BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP SEWAGE AUTHORITY
TO THE SECRETARY OF THE
    COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA:
In compliance with the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented, the Township of Brighton, a township of the second class under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, situate in the County of Beaver in said Commonwealth, pursuant to an ordinance duly ordained and enacted by the Board of Supervisors of said Township being the municipal authorities of said Township, and published and recorded in accordance with the law, signifying said Township's desire and intention to form an Authority, hereby certifies:
1.
The name of the Authority shall be BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP SEWAGE AUTHORITY.
2.
The Authority is formed under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented.
3.
There has been organized by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Brighton, under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented, and there is now in existence within said Township, a municipal authority known as Brighton Township Municipal Authority, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, which municipal authority has all the powers granted to municipal authorities under said Act with respect to acquisition and improvement of a school building and, as amended, with respect to waterworks, water supply works and water distribution systems in the Township.
No other municipal authority has been organized by the Board of Supervisors of the Township under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended and supplemented, or under the Act approved June 28, 1935, P.L. 463, as amended and supplemented, and is in existence in or for the incorporating municipality named herein.

The purpose of the Authority is to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain and operate, own, lease, either in the capacity of lessee or lessor, sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof and sewage treatment works, including works for treating and disposing of industrial wastes. For such purposes the Authority shall have and exercise all powers granted by law.

The name of the incorporating municipality is the Township of Brighton, situate in the County of Beaver and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the names and addresses of its municipal authorities, being the members of the Board of Supervisors of said Township, are as follows:

The Board of the Authority to be formed pursuant to these Articles shall consist of five members, each of whom, except for those who shall be members of the first Board of the Authority, shall be appointed for terms of five years, and each of whom will be either a taxpayer in, maintain a business in, or be a citizen of, the Township or any municipality into which a sewage project of the Authority extends or is to extend.
