This article shall be known as the "Township of Tobyhanna Snow Emergency Parking Ordinance."

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
SNOW EMERGENCY
A situation which shall be declared by the Township Manager or the Emergency Management Coordinator.
SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES
All roadways and routes owned and maintained by the Township of Tobyhanna.
Any member of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, or other employee of the Township of Tobyhanna engaged in road work, shall be authorized to remove any vehicle abandoned or parked upon any public highway or street in violation of the terms and provisions of this article, and to take any said vehicle to an area designated by the Township of Tobyhanna. The registered owner of any said vehicle shall be promptly notified, in writing, of the fact of the removal and of the place to which said vehicle has been removed, where he/she may obtain the same upon payment of any and all towing and storage charges.
Any person willfully violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon summary conviction before a District Justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $300 and the costs of prosecution, such fines to be collected as like fines are now collected by law; and, in default, shall undergo imprisonment not exceeding 30 days.
