The City of Mayville operates under the Mayor-Council system of government.
Election officials for each polling place shall be appointed pursuant to §§ 7.30, 7.31 and 7.32, Wis. Stats.
A. 
Allowing split shifts for election officials.

(1) 
The City Clerk is authorized to establish different times/split shifts for the work of the election officials on election day.
(2) 
This subsection does not apply to Chief Election Inspectors.
All candidates for elective City office shall file nomination papers pursuant to § 8.10, Wis. Stats.

The polls of the City shall be opened from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all elections.

The polling places for all electors of the City shall be in designated areas located in the City Hall.

The boundaries of the City are set forth on the Official Map of the City, and the legal description of said boundaries is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

A. 
Ward boundaries.
(1) 
Ward 1. All that portion of the City lying within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the point where the center lines of Horicon and Main Streets intersect; then north along the center line of Main Street to a point where the center lines of Main Street and Williams Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Williams Street to a point where the center lines of Williams Street and School Street intersect; thence north along the center line of School Street to a point where the center lines of School Street and Dayton Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Dayton Street to a point where the center lines of Dayton Street and Henninger Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Henninger Street to a point where the center lines of Henninger Street and Lina Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Lina Street to a point where the center lines of Lina Street and Ewald Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Ewald Street to a point where the center lines of Ewald Street and Bridge Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Bridge Street to a point where Bridge Street and Clark Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Clark Street to the point where Clark Street and Horicon Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Horicon Street to the City limits; thence south to the City limits; thence east along the south line of Green Acres Subdivision, 1968 addition to a point where said line extended intersects with the railroad tracks; thence north along the railroad tracks to a point where the railroad tracks and the center line of Horicon Street meet; thence east along the center line of Horicon Street to the point of the beginning; also including that portion of the City limits lying southwest of the intersection of Clark Street and Horicon Street

Ward 2. All that portion of the City lying east of the following described line: Beginning at the point where the center line of North German Street meets the east City limits; thence south along the center line of North German Street to a point where the center lines of North German Street and Turner Street intersect; thence east along the center line of Turner Street to a point where the center lines of Turner Street and High Street intersect; thence south along the center line of High Street to a point where the center lines of High Street and Naber Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Naber Street to a point where the center lines of Naber Street and South German Street intersect; thence south along the center line of South German Street to a point where the center lines of South German Street and Park Street intersect; thence south to the City limits; also including that portion of the City in Sections 24 and 25 lying south and east of the Rock River.

Ward 3. All that portion of the City lying within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the point where the center line of North German Street intersects the east City limits; thence south along the center line of North German Street to a point where North German Street and Burchard Avenue intersect; thence west along the center line of Burchard Avenue to the point where Burchard Avenue and Barwig Avenue intersect; thence north along the center line of Barwig Avenue to the point where Barwig Avenue and Lincoln Lane intersect; thence west along the center line of Lincoln Lane to the point where Lincoln Lane intersects the Rock River; thence south along the Rock River to the point where the Rock River and Bridge Street intersect; thence west along the center line on Bridge Street to the point where Bridge Street and Main Street intersect; thence north on the center line of Main Street to the point where Main Street and Williams Street intersect; thence west on the center line of Williams Street to the point where Williams Street and School Street intersect; thence north on the center line of School Street to the point where School Street and Dayton Street intersect; thence west on the center line of Dayton Street to the point where Dayton Street and Walnut Street intersect; thence north on the center line of Walnut Street to the point where Walnut Street and Kekoskee Street intersect; thence north on the center line of Kekoskee Street to the point where the corporate limits intersect with Slag Road; thence east along the center line of Slag Road to the east of corporate limits to the south of corporate limits to North German Street to the point of the beginning.

Ward 4. All that portion of the City lying within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the point where Kekoskee Street and Henninger Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Henninger Street to a point where Henninger Street and Breckenridge Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Breckenridge Street to the westerly section line of Section 14; thence north to the corporate limits; thence east 679.8 feet; thence north 117.25 feet; thence east approximately 290 feet to the center line of Kekoskee Street; thence south along the center line of Kekoskee Street to the point of the beginning.

Ward 5. All that portion of the City lying within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the point where Henninger Street and Kekoskee Street intersect; thence east along the center line of Kekoskee Street to a point where the center lines of Kekoskee Street and Walnut Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Walnut Street to a point where Walnut Street and Dayton Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Dayton Street to a point where Dayton Street and Henninger Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Henninger Street to a point where Henninger Street and Lina Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Lina Street to a point where Lina Street and Ewald Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Ewald Street to a point where Ewald Street and Bridge Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Bridge Street to a point where Bridge Street and Clark Street intersect; thence north along the center line of Clark Street to a point where Clark Street and Dayton Street intersect; thence west along the center line on Dayton Street to a point where Dayton Street and Mary Street intersect; thence north along the center line on Mary Street to a point where Mary Street and Breckenridge Street intersect; thence east along the center line of Breckenridge Street to a point where Breckenridge Street and Henninger Street intersect; thence north along the center line of Henninger Street to the point of the beginning.

All that portion of the City lying within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the point where Breckenridge Street and Mary Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Mary Street to a point where Mary Street and Dayton Street intersect; thence east along the center line of Dayton Street to a point where Dayton Street and Clark Street intersect; thence south along the center line of Clark Street to a point where Horicon Street and Clark Street intersect; thence west along the center line of Horicon Street to the City limits; thence north along the City limits on County Highway TW; thence east along the City limits to a point where the City limits and Mountin Drive intersect; thence north along the City limits to the intersection with the center line of Breckenridge Street; thence east along the center line of Breckenridge Street to Mary Street to the point of the beginning.
(8) 
Ward 8. All that portion of the City lying within the following described boundaries: Beginning at the NW corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 22, T12N R16E, Dodge County Wisconsin, from said point of beginning; then easterly along the north line of the SE 1/4 of Section 22 to the northerly right-of-way line of State Highway 28; then southwesterly along the northerly line of STH 28 to the east line of the West 12 acres of the North 44 rods of the NW 1/4 SE 1/4 of said Section 22; then southerly along the east line of said West 12 acres of the North 44 rods to the south line of the West 12 acres North 44 rods of the NW 1/4, SE 1/4, of said Section 22; then west along said south line of the North 44 rods of the NW 1/4, SE 1/4, to the southeasterly right-of-way line of STH 28; then southwesterly along the southeasterly right-of-way line of STH 28 to the NE corner of Lot 1, CSM 5785; then southeasterly along the northeasterly line of Lot 1, CSM 5785 to the SE corner of Lot 1, CSM 5785; then west along the south line of Lot 1, CSM 5785 to the SW corner of Lot 1, CSM 5785; then northwesterly to the intersection of the northwesterly line of STH 28 and the west line of the SE 1/4 SW 1/4 of said Section 22; then north along the west line of the SE 1/4, SW 1/4 and NE 1/4 SW 1/4 of said Section 22; to the NW corner of NE 1/4, SW 1/4, of said Section 22; then east along the north line of NE 1/4, SW 1/4, of said Section 22 to the point of beginning.

B. 
Aldermanic Districts. Seven Aldermanic Districts are created by this section, defined as follows:
(1) 
Aldermanic District 1 shall consist of Ward 1.
(2) 
Aldermanic District 2 shall consist of Ward 2.
(3) 
Aldermanic District 3 shall consist of Ward 3.
(4) 
Aldermanic District 4 shall consist of Wards 4, 7 and 8.

Aldermanic District 5 shall consist of Ward 5.
(6) 
Aldermanic District 6 shall consist of Ward 6.

The Common Council does hereby create a ward plan consisting of eight wards as follows:
A. 
Ward 1, containing a 2010 population of 755 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 14.
B. 
Ward 2, containing a 2010 population of 769 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 13.
C. 
Ward 3, containing a 2010 population of 723 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 13.
D. 
Ward 4, containing a 2010 population of 430 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 13.
E. 
Ward 5, containing a 2010 population of 846 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 14.
F. 
Ward 6, containing a 2010 population of 599 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 13.
G. 
Ward 7, containing a 2010 population of 1032 and comprising a part of tentative Supervisory District 14.
H. 
Ward 8, containing a 2013 population of 0 and comprising a part of (Dodge County) Supervisory District 7.
