Trucks over 7,800 pounds registered gross vehicle weight (RGVW) are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VII, except for the pickup or delivery of materials on such streets, said Schedule VII being attached to and being a part of this chapter.[1]

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:67-16.1, the streets or parts of streets as described in Schedule VIII attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as routes for trucks over 7,800 pounds.[1] All trucks having a total combined gross weight of vehicle plus load in excess of 7,800 pounds shall be excluded from all streets except from those streets which form a part of the system of truck routes.

Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule X attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as through streets.[1] Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for the designation.

A. 
Purpose. In order to create a safer environment and to provide an orderly and efficient means of dropping of children for attendance at the Harding School, that area on the north side of the Boulevard between North 18th Street and Coolidge Drive is hereby declared and designated a "school children safe dropoff zone," and shall be used solely and exclusively between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session.
B. 
Procedure.
(1) 
The operator of a motor vehicle transporting a child to Harding Elementary School shall drop any such child off at the school children safe dropoff zone.
(2) 
The operator of a motor vehicle using the safe drop off zone shall drop off a child or children for attendance at Harding School between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and shall do so in accordance with the following procedure:
(a) 
The operator shall bring his or her vehicle to a full stop within one of the designated parallel parking spaces within the drop zone area.
(b) 
All children shall exit the vehicle on the curb side.
(c) 
Once the children have exited the vehicle and are on the sidewalk area, the operator shall depart the drop zone area westerly along the Boulevard.
C. 
Prohibited conduct. When using the dropoff zone area to drop off a child at Harding School, the operator of the motor vehicle may not:
(1) 
Leave his or her vehicle unattended.
(2) 
Bring his or her vehicle to a stop in such a manner so as to take up a portion of two parking spaces.
(3) 
Stop on a cross-hatched area between parking stalls.
(4) 
Double-park or otherwise stop his or her vehicle in a location within the dropoff zone which is not a designated parking space.
(5) 
Remain in the drop off zone after the child or children are on the sidewalk for a period of time longer than reasonably necessary to depart the drop off zone in accordance with Subsection B(2)(c) above.
D. 
Penalties. Any operator of a motor vehicle who violates the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine as provided in § 190-26C.
