No building or structure or land shall be used or occupied for the purpose or in any manner other than one or more uses as set forth in the Table of Use Regulations, § 350-22 herein, or as exempted by Article VIII of this bylaw or by statute. Any use not listed shall be construed to be prohibited. Any use designated in § 350-22 by the symbol "NP" is not permitted in the zoning district so designated.

Any use listed in § 350-22 is permitted as of right in any district under which it is denoted by the symbol "P," subject to all applicable provisions of this bylaw. Any use listed in § 350-22 is permitted as of right with site plan review in any district under which it is denoted by the symbol “PR,” subject to all applicable provisions of this bylaw.
Any use designated in § 350-22 by the symbol "S" may be authorized by the Select Board.
Any use designated in § 350-22 by the symbol "PA" may be authorized by a special permit from the Board of Appeals under the Article XI, subject to all applicable provisions and special requirements as set for in this bylaw.
A. 
Any use designated in § 350-22 by the symbol "PB" may be authorized by a special permit from the Planning Board under Article XI, subject to all applicable provisions and special requirements as set forth in this bylaw.
B. 
The Select Board, acting pursuant to MGL c. 40A, § 9, may appoint an associate member of the Planning Board who shall be available to serve as an associate member when the Planning Board acts as designated special permit granting authority under this bylaw. The Chair of the Planning Board may designate the associate member to sit on the Board for the purpose of acting on a special permit application, in the case of absence, inability to act, or conflict of interest, on the part of any member of the Planning Board or in the event of a vacancy on the Board

Any use designated in § 350-22 by the symbol "PS" may be authorized by a special permit from the Select Board under Article XI, subject to all applicable provisions and special requirements as set forth in this bylaw.
Any use permitted and as regulated in the portion of any zoning district overlaid by a Floodplain District shall be permitted therein subject to restrictions set for in Article XV of this bylaw.
On an appeal from the decision of the Inspector of Buildings, the Board of Appeals may classify an unlisted use which is similar to one or more permitted uses as to the group of uses to which it belongs, in accordance with § 350-118A of this bylaw, based on its compatibility with other permitted uses in the district and in harmony with the intent and purposes of this bylaw.
