§ 3-1 Authorization.

Without contravening any provision of the Charter, statute, rule or regulation, the City Council of the City of East Orange be and the same is hereby authorized to abolish any City office and extinguish the position of the City officer appointed thereto whenever it is determined that for reasons of economy, efficiency and best interest of the operations of the government of the City it is deemed advisable to do so.
