Licenses and fees — Ch. 170.
Any license issued by the City of East Orange
to a bona fide organization or association of veterans of any war
in which the United States has been engaged, church or religious congregation
or religious organization, civic or service club, senior citizens'
association or club, officially recognized volunteer fire company
or officially recognized volunteer first-aid or rescue squad, pursuant
to the provisions of the Bingo Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 et seq.,
and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Legalized Games of
Chance Control Commission, shall include express authorization to
hold, operate and conduct bingo games on Sunday.
A licensee, as set forth in § 107-1 above, is hereby authorized to hold, operate and conduct bingo games on Sundays; provided, however, that the provisions of N.J.S.A. 5:8-33 restricting the frequency of days on which games may be conducted is not thereby enlarged.
If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence
or any other part of this chapter is adjudged unconstitutional or
invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the
remainder of this chapter, but shall be confined in its effects to
the section, subsection, paragraph, sentence or other part of this
chapter directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment
shall have been rendered.

The City Clerk of East Orange is hereby delegated the authority
to act as the issuing authority for the purpose of approving the granting
of raffle and bingo licenses.
