By June 1 of each year and within two weeks of any change in owner, registered agent, responsible individual, operator or superintendent, the owner, operator and lessor of any premises within the City occupied by five or more dwelling units shall, upon a form provided therefor by the Public Officer and available at his office, register the premises, designating thereon the name and address of the owner, the name and address of any lessor or operator other than the owner, the name and address of any agent in charge of the premises residing in the City who may be the owner, operator or lessor and, if a corporation or company, the name and address of the registered agent or responsible individual of the company, provided that establishments subject to licensing which have secured licenses pursuant to §§ 159-162 to 159-201 are exempted from the requirements of this section.
A. 
Except as hereinafter provided:
(1) 
There shall be posted in the vestibule, hallway or other prominent place, at or near all public entrances of any building containing five or more dwelling units, a directory designating each dwelling unit by number or letter and setting forth the last name of the tenant currently occupying each dwelling unit.
(2) 
On all premises containing five or more dwelling units in two or more separate buildings containing common areas and operated as a unit, a directory as described in Subsection A(1) of this section shall be posted adjacent to each public sidewalk into the premises, provided that no more than three such directories shall be required. Each directory shall be accompanied by a diagrammatic representation of the premises showing the location of the various buildings thereon, their designated numbers or letters and the designated numbers or letters of dwelling units therein. Each building shall be designated with its respective number or letter at a location thereon clearly visible from the walkway or sidewalk adjacent thereto.
B. 
Directories as described in Subsection A(1) and (2) herein shall be installed or enclosed beneath some protective covering of a substantial nature to prevent removal of same.

A. 
There shall be posted adjacent to or near the directory required by § 159-56 the name, address and telephone number of the owner or agent in charge of the premises and, where required by § 159-86, the name, address, apartment number and telephone number of the superintendent.

B. 
There shall be affixed to the front entrance of each dwelling unit, plainly visible from the common hallway or areaway, the number or letter which corresponds to that set forth in the directory required by § 159-56.
