A. 
Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersections of those streets described in Schedule I (§ 401-60), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
The traffic signal installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of An Act Concerning Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated, and shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation of the State of New Jersey.

A. 
The Mayor of the City of Rahway is hereby authorized to provide by regulation for the closing of any street that a school is located on or a portion thereof to motor vehicle traffic on any day or days during specified hours on any day or days whenever he/she finds that such closing is necessary for the preservation of the safety for ingress or egress or for the provision of recreational facilities for children attending such schools or both.
B. 
Any regulations promulgated by the Mayor, under and in accordance with Subsection A above, shall provide for the posting of proper warning signs of such closing in any street or portion thereof and the purpose thereof during the time the same is closed in pursuance thereof.
C. 
Any violation of this section or of any regulation promulgated thereunder shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $250.
A. 
The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule II (§ 401-61), attached to and made a part of this chapter, is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated.
B. 
Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limits.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule III (§ 401-62), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule IV (§ 401-63), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule V (§ 401-64), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VI (§ 401-65), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as through streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for in the designations.
The intersections described in Schedule VII (§ 401-66), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.

Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, intersections described in Schedule XXVI (§ 401-85) are hereby designated as multistop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 401-67), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The lane locations described in Schedule IX (§ 401-68), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.
No-passing zones are hereby established and shall be maintained along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule X (§ 401-69), attached to and made a part of this chapter, as authorized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation in accordance with the sketch dated and numbered as indicated.
Trucks in excess of the gross weights indicated are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XI (§ 401-70), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.

A. 
Findings. The Municipal Council of the City of Rahway finds it in the public interest to make certain that all trucks using the Union County Resource Recovery Facility follow the truck traffic regulations for said facility adopted by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
B. 
Prohibitions and enforcements. The municipal police of the City of Rahway shall issue tickets to any trucks on municipal roads in the City of Rahway that are in violation of the truck traffic routes for the Union County Resource Recovery Facility established by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
C. 
Penalties. Each and every violation of said truck traffic routes on municipal roads shall be penalized by a minimum fine of $1,000 and a maximum fine to the full extent allowable by state law for each offense, to be decided by the Municipal Judge of the City of Rahway. A court appearance shall be required for each violation of this chapter.
