The Common Council of the City of Lockport does hereby elect to come under the provisions of Chapter 339 of the Laws of 1960, entitled "An Act to Amend the Retirement and Social Security Law, in Relation to Authorizing the Provision of Added Pensions — Providing for Increased Take Home Pay and Death Benefits for Officers and Employees of Participating Employers in the New York State Employees' Retirement System," as presently or hereafter amended.
The per centum of the member's compensation by which contributions shall be reduced shall be 8%, and the effective date shall be the payroll beginning on the first day of January 1969.

The Common Council of the City of Lockport does hereby elect to come under the provisions of § 370-a of Article 8 of the Retirement and Social Security Law, in relation to authorizing the provision of added pensions and providing for increased take-home pay and death benefits for officers and employees of participating employers in the New York State Policemen's and Firemen's Retirement System, as presently or hereafter amended.
The per centum of the members' compensation by which contributions shall be reduced shall be 8%, and the effective date shall be the payroll beginning on the first day of January 1969.
