[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Mount Pleasant 11-24-1970. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The purpose of this ordinance is to consolidate the existing lighting districts in the Town of Mount Pleasant and extend them into one single lighting district covering the unincorporated area of the Town of Mount Pleasant.
Said existing lighting districts to be consolidated are the Consolidated Lighting District of Mount Pleasant, as extended, Meadowbrook Lighting District, Devonshire Lighting District, Leawood Lighting District, Arcadia Lighting District and Deerfield Lighting District.
Said districts as consolidated and enlarged shall be bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point in the southeasterly corner of the unincorporated area of the Town of Mount Pleasant where the Town lines for the Town of North Castle and Town of Greenburgh intersect with the Town line of Mount Pleasant; thence westerly along the line between the Town of Greenburgh and Town of Mount Pleasant to a point where said line intersects the line of the Village of North Tarrytown; thence northerly along the line between the Village of North Tarrytown and the Town of Mount Pleasant to a point where said line intersects the line of the Town of New Castle; thence easterly along the line between the Town of New Castle and Town of Mount Pleasant to a point where said line intersects the line of the Village of Pleasantville; thence southerly and easterly and northerly along the line between the Village of Pleasantville and the Town of Mount Pleasant to a point where said line intersects the aforesaid line between the Town of New Castle and the Town of Mount Pleasant to a point where the Town lines of the Town of New Castle, Town of North Castle and Town of Mount Pleasant intersect; thence southerly along the line between the Town of North Castle and the Town of Mount Pleasant to the point or place of beginning.
Said lighting district shall be known as the "Mount Pleasant Lighting District."
