A.
Beginning on the first day of January 1986, the annual
compensation of all Township Commissioners of the Township of Butler
elected or appointed after the adoption of this chapter shall be the
maximum amount permitted by the First Class Township Code as amended
from time to time by applicable legislation.[1]

Any change in salary shall not become effective until
