It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to cut, maim or attach any rope, wire or cable to any tree or branch thereof growing on or over the sidewalk in this borough, provided that nothing herein contained shall apply to the trimming of trees by the owner thereof.[1]

A. 
No person shall burn any materials whatsoever out of doors within the borough limits at any time.
B. 
The total prohibition set forth in Subsection A shall not apply to burning conducted by the Matamoras Fire Department or the Matamoras Street Department as part of their regular borough duties.
C. 
The total prohibition set forth in Subsection A shall not apply to the use of charcoal grills, gas grills, hibachis, outdoor fireplaces, when used for cooking, and similar pleasure items for the cooking of food.

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.) and costs of such proceedings or, upon default of payment of such fines and costs, by imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more than thirty (30) days. The continuation of such violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.
