The purpose of this article is to provide for the maintenance of the
facilities for residents, taxpayers and summer residents for disposal of refuse
taken from the premises located within the boundaries of the Town of Shapleigh.

A fence and gate will be erected at the entrance to the transfer station.
The gate will be locked when the transfer station is closed.

Dumping hours will be set, controlled and posted by the Board of Selectmen.
Dumping at any other time is a violation of this chapter.

The use of firearms is prohibited at the transfer station.
An attendant will be on duty, when deemed necessary, and will be in
charge of all dumping operations. Collecting and picking of material from
the transfer station is restricted to the attendant only.
The following materials are not to be disposed of in the transfer station:

Any violation of this article shall be punishable by a fine of $100.
