There shall be a Department of Code Enforcement,
the head of which shall be the Code Enforcement Officer, who shall
be appointed by the Town Manager. He shall be assisted by the Plumbing
Inspector, who shall be appointed by the Town Manager. In addition,
these inspectors will coordinate their work with the Fire Chief to
assure that all safety regulations are being complied with.

The Code Enforcement Officer shall be responsible
for enforcing all codes, laws, ordinances and regulations within his
jurisdiction.
The Plumbing Inspector shall be responsible
for issuing all plumbing permits as required under Maine state law.
