This chapter shall not repeal, annul or in any
way impair or remove the necessity of compliance with any other ordinance,
law, regulation or bylaw. Where this chapter imposes a higher and/or
stricter standard, the provisions of this chapter shall prevail.
A.
Violations. A person violating any provision of this
chapter shall be guilty of a civil violation and shall be punished
by a fine of not less than $100. Each day that a violation continues
shall be deemed a separate offense. All penalties collected hereto
shall inure to the Town of South Berwick.
B.
Additional remedies. It shall be the duty of the Code
Enforcement Officer to enforce the provisions of this chapter. If
the Code Enforcement Officer finds that any provision of this chapter
is being violated, he shall notify, in writing, the person responsible
for such violations, indicating the nature of the violation and ordering
the action necessary to correct it. He shall take any action authorized
by this chapter to ensure compliance with or to prevent violation
of its provisions.
